Exploring Cali, Colombia ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ดย

This holiday has been much needed, and maybe a bit longer than what most people call a “holiday”… A month full of sitting by the pool, swimming in the caribbean sea, eating waay too much, being makeup-free *sometimes* and getting awful tan lines, but the best glowing skin.

There is quite a selection of cheeses and whether it was on pizza, pasta or anything else there was lots of it. We tried out a lot of food places but our favorite fast food joints soon became ButacosCrepes & Waffles and Pizza Mania.

Most of our days consisted of visiting the most touristy places like the Parque del Gato (Cat Park), Cristo Rey, the architecture and some amazing waterparks.

Getting sick and the journey wasn’t so great, but every city had a different specialty and I can now say I’ve travelled to almost half of the cities in Colombia. Trying new foods and learning a different language/culture was quite the experience but of course, the biggest highlight was seeing my family and waking up to doing something new everyday.

Cali was so much more “down to earth” than Miami (read about all here), if that makes sense. If there’s anything I’ve taken from these two trips is how to live like a true minimalist, travel to new places and to explore my own city a bit more.
