Short Stop in Miami

A few months ago when holiday planning we were more keen on having a layover flight than what was going to be our actual destination for a month.. When we got a full 24 hours in Miami there was a LOT to decide and so much ideas of what to do in such a short amount of time.

Getting out of the airplane, the heat hit us hard and it was nothing like I’ve felt before. It was mostly humidity and no. wind. We got in a cab to our hotel and instantly fell in love with the view of palm trees along every street. We checked in and snapped (too many) pictures on the balcony.

I can’t say much about the food in Miami, but as we walked to a street of restaurants in the night after a *long* time we decided on Dominos which was good, naturally, because we were starving and a pint of ice cream from Lulu’s Nitrogen ice cream. In the morning we went to a little cafe near South Beach where we had not-very-Cuban sandwiches and amazing cheesy bread!

To our disappointment, the next morning it rained heavily twice -but- when we got out of the cab at South Beach the sun was shining and it was as humid as it was before. Here are some pictures of palm trees, cute restaurants and random stop signs.. We walked for hours and then took a cab back to the hotel to pack before heading to the airport. We had ages till our next flight so grabbed some food, holiday souvenirs and we were off to beautiful Cali.
