Things we forget to do

We’re all so wrapped up in our lives, we often expect higher, or become used to the same old cycle. Here are some things we forget to remember:

Don’t look at relationships to make you happy first

Meaning; you should be happy with yourself. Make sure you are the best version of yourself first, so you can be the best version for someone else. 🙂

Available vs genuine friendships

Friends you see everyday because you happen to have classes together and that’s the only way you talk, or a friend who you don’t see all the time and don’t get to talk to as much. Which one of these are genuine? A genuine friend is someone who you don’t grow apart from if you don’t see them everyday. Be careful of friends who are friends with you because you see them everyday, but aren’t actually there for you, they’re just conveniently there.

Learn not to always say yes

Saying no when it needs to be said isn’t selfish, so don’t say yes just to be polite. If you’re ever feeling unsure or that you think you should say no, you can. If you think about whether you want to say yes or not, you probably don’t. I’ve had this problem before and it put me in a horrible situation!

Remember that everything passes

Know that everything changes, so when you’re scared of rejection, remember the only thing worse is not acting on it. Live by your own rules.

“People think I’m a crazy fool for writing ‘slave’ on my face. But if I can’t do what I want to do, what am I? When you stop a man from dreaming, he becomes a slave.” -Prince ♥
